The Townsend River Walk & Arboretum Picnic Area, Demonstration Rain Water Garden, Children's Wooden Play Train and More is scheduled to be completed in 2025 and is estimated to cost $ 7,000.   We are providing the volunteers but we need your generous donations for the materials.

The Townsend River Walk and Arboretum will be the focal point for an Invasive Plant Removal in conjunction with our community partners Keep Blount Beautiful and The Little River Watershed Association

The project begins at 9 am and ends at noon on Saturday, December 7, 2019.

A lunch will be provided by the Tuckaleechee Garden Club as well as water and snacks. 

We will be concentrating on a mass of invasive vines and Japanese Honeysuckle.  Please bring a good pair of gloves.

Park at the Campground United Methodist Church 7466 Old Tuckaleechee Road Townsend, TN, 37882 and then follow the Greenway to the entrance of the Arboretum.  Maps for both can be found here.
