The Townsend River Walk & Arboretum Picnic Area, Demonstration Rain Water Garden, Children's Wooden Play Train and More is scheduled to be completed in 2025 and is estimated to cost $ 7,000. We are providing the volunteers but we need your generous donations for the materials.

Mark Seder of the Blount County Master Gardeners donated a bluebird house to the River Walk. It is close to the speciman garden along Lamar Alexander Hwy. A little late for the the Spring birds but may attract some thru the summer. The plan is to put a couple more up along the upper River Walk path.
