The Tuckaleechee Garden Club decided to plant four Redbud varietals as part of the 2021 National Garden Week.  We selected: PomPom, Whitebud; Forest Pansy; & Merlot.  They were planted on the top trail on each side of the Dogwood Tribe along US 321.

A big thanks goes to Rodney & Allison Pearson, Theresa & Scott Schehr and Mark Seder for taking time this week to make this planting happen.  We also had a guest appearance by Mr. Bear, he wasn't much help but provided a well deserved distraction.

Take a look at the work that was done over 3 days to get the area prepared, then planted and mulched.

Tuesday Allison, Rodney & Mark laid out the area, removed the vegetation, and planted the Merlot Redbud.

Wednesday, Mark brought in mulch and dug the remaining tree holes.
Redbud holes dug and mulch delivered.
Thursday, Theresa, Scott & Mark planted the three remaining trees & mulched.
