Updates from the Townsend River Walk & Arboretum

Elderberry and Beautyberry are doing well. Elderberry Bushes and American Beautyberry Bushes, that were Planted by Allison & Rodney Pearson, are Growing Fast!

A quick update from around the TRWA (See the Slideshow below for additional pictures).

The spring flowers are still blooming but are quickly fading. The grounds around the TRWA are now lush with green foliage. Iris's are beautiful and growing throughout. Our baby bluebirds are growing up fast and should be fledging in about 10 or so days. More flowers are getting ready to bloom so take a walk along the River Walk and Arboretum when you get a chance!

The newest bluebirds taking a rest. They are all bunched in there and actually almost out of the nest. Not sure if it was momma's first nest but was very tall and thick on the sides. We hopefully will have then fledging in about 10 days.

This is a bloom from the Cherokee Chief Dogwood that was planted this year. Has a pretty tinge of pink/red.
